The establishment is a hole in the wall, but the dishes are out of this world flavorful! We ordered a meat plater for 2 with extra collard green on the side. We finished everything! Our favorite was the Doro Wot. Tender chicken pieces stewed in a thick and spicy sauce. Just the thought of it while writing this review is enough to make my mouth water again. The injera are fluffy soft and the right amount of sour, it pairs perfectly with every stew on the table This restaurant appears to be family run, and women run. Prices are also very reasonable. We will certainly be back!

We used to drive to Berkeley / Oakland for Ethiopian food, but it’s no longer necessary - this place is great! Loved the food - very fresh and tasty. The combo platters are excellent, both the meat and the vegetarian. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Our family of 4 liked everything about it.

This is a cute, cozy, comfortable hole-in-the-wall, and needs to be discovered! I had dinner there yesterday - initially looking for take-out, and after seeing the hot food (as they served it into the take-out tray), decided to just eat right there! It was too tempting to let it cool down taking it back home first. Good decision too! The Veggie Platter for one was delicious - the red lentil curry, the collard greens, the potato, carrot, cabbage, and the injneras. I was looking for a hot, filling meal, and Haleluya didn't disappoint! Also, a great family-run place, which warms my heart, as I love supporting local small-businesses! And, the owner Halle is cheery, friendly, and warm, and I enjoyed our conversation. The folks are attentive too, checking in to see if you need anything and how you're liking the food (I was loving it!). And the lentil sambusa's were crispy, piping-hot, and tasty with the hot sauce!! Wanna see how it looked ... .check below! I am glad I located them, they're going to be one of my go-to places for tasty, healthy, hot food! Thanks Halle and team :-). The word needs to get our on Haleluya - if more people knew about them, they'd be making a beeline (actually, an injnera and sambusa line :-)) for this place. Go check it out!

Haleluya Ethiopian is a hidden gem and a must try! My husband and I are from the DC area and accustomed to authentic Ethiopian food. Since moving to the Bay Area we have been having a hard time finding good Ethiopian food, especially Awaze Tibsi! We stumbled upon Haleluya and couldn’t be more pleased! We tried their awaze tibsi and veggie combo for 2! Every thing was delicious and decently priced for the portions. We will definitely come back to try other dishes!

First time at this place and it was very good. My friend and I ordered the highly recommended veggie combo platter for two. It was very large so we weren't able to eat all of it (second pic is how we left it) so I'd say this could even feed three semi hungry people. My favorite part of the platter was the potato cabbage carrots. The lentils were good, but we're a little too salty for my liking, but it didn't take away anything from the overall meal. We ordered the lentil sambusas as well which were very good, but the platter could've filled us up itself just fine. Our waitress was VERY kind, so nice. She was so warm and welcoming, and I just felt so comforted and cared for. I would come here again to try more of their menu and the great service.

I HAD to leave a review to this place. Absolutely delicious everytime I've gone. I am pescatarian so I get the fish goloush and the veggie plate. There's always extra leftovers for me to have the next day! My brother got the kitfo (raw) & he absolutely loves it too! Even smoothies are delicious! If you're in the Fremont area, this is a must have!

No issues. Food was delicious. Owner was helpful and friendly, happy to give menu recommendations or chat. Even gave me some extra injera because it was my first visit. Seating is very limited and not fancy, but everything was clean and comfortable. The food is meant to be eaten with fingers but utensils are available. I had the plate of 2 meats and a veggie; I chose lamb, chicken, and red lentils.
